The Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania Hon. Kassim Majaliwa along with his delegation including the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tanzania and the Minister of Energy Hon. Dr. Doto Mashaka Biteko and various leaders visiting the ZPRA exhibition Booth at the Fifth (5th) Tanzania Energy Exhibition.
During the visit ZPRA Managing Director Mr. Adam Abdulla Makame explained to the Prime Minister together with various leaders the development stage of the exploration activities of Oil and Natural Gas in Zanzibar, that the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar has already announced new Investment Areas in the Oil and Natural Gas Sector through the Sea area where currently the Government is preparing to announce the First Licensing Round Blocks of the Oil and Natural Gas Industry which is expected to be held at the end of this year 2023. In addition, the Prime Minister Hon. Kassim Majaliwa has congratulated the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar for this major step in the promotion of the Oil and Gas Sectors and encouraged the process for the promotion of Licensing Round Blocks in the Oil and Natural Gas sector to be done on time to further open up Zanzibar and Tanzania in the sector of Oil and Natural Gas.
